1 Overview
AR Explorer is an educational mobile application developed by The 356 Company, designed to help developers and engineers master Augmented Reality concepts for interviews and professional development.
This Privacy Policy explains what information AR Explorer handles, how it is stored, and what rights you have regarding your data. We believe in radical transparency — and in this case, there is very little to explain.
The short version: AR Explorer does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. Everything stays on your device. We have no servers, no accounts, and no analytics.
2 Data We Collect
AR Explorer does not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:
- Personal identification information (name, phone number)
- Sensitive device identifiers like IMEI
- Camera or microphone data (unless explicitly required for AR features)
- Contacts or calendar information
- Crash reports sent to our own private servers
However, the app integrates with standard Google platforms (AdMob and Google Play Billing) which may collect technical identifiers as described in Section 4.
The app does not require an account, login, or registration of any kind. You can use AR Explorer anonymously and indefinitely without providing any personal information.
3 How Data Is Stored
AR Explorer stores a limited amount of app state locally on your device to provide a seamless experience. This includes:
- Learning progress — which modules and topics you have completed
- Quiz results — your scores and answers for completed quizzes
- App preferences — any settings you configure within the app
This data is stored using Android's standard local storage mechanisms (SharedPreferences and local database). It never leaves your device and is not accessible to us, to any third party, or to any external server.
Offline first: AR Explorer is designed for complete offline use. No internet connection is required to access any content, track your progress, or complete quizzes. Your data is yours — always.
If you uninstall AR Explorer, all locally stored app data will be permanently deleted from your device as per Android's standard application lifecycle.
AR Explorer integrates with the following third-party services for essential app functions:
- Google Play Store & Billing: Used for app distribution and secure processing of In-App Purchases for Premium features. Your payment info is handled exclusively by Google.
- Google AdMob: Used to display advertisements to non-premium users. AdMob may collect and use your device’s Advertising ID to show relevant ads.
These services are governed by Google's Privacy Policy. The 356 Company does not receive or store your individual payment details or advertising identifiers on our own servers.
5 Children's Privacy
AR Explorer is designed as an educational tool for developers and technology professionals. It is not directed at children under the age of 13.
Since the app collects no personal data from any user, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that a child under 13 has provided personal information through our app, please contact us at the address below — though as stated throughout this policy, no such data is collected.
6 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically for any changes.
Continued use of AR Explorer after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy. If we ever introduce any form of data collection in a future version, we will clearly notify users in advance and update this policy accordingly.
